Bill Santiago is a stand-up comedian of Puerto Rican descent. He jokes that he became a stand-up after narrowly escaping a career in journalism, facing the fact that as a comedian he was funny, but as a reporter he was a joke. Santiago has since entered the world of solo performance, currently developing and touring his show, "Spanglish 101".
He was featured on The Comedy Central Presents Stand-up Showdown, a countdown of the 20 greatest comedy central performances during the 2007 edition of the show.
